Within the leaflet for revised services from 26th April 1987 by Brighton & Hove, entitled Busy Bus 45 on weekdays, they were improving services mainly to suit transporting school children, with a flat fare of 15pence, and 25pence for adults.
The East Sussex County Council Local Rider services 145 & 146 on Sundays were operated by Coastal Coaches, while at that time registered at Corsica Road, Seaford
These routes operated from Denton (145), South Heighton (145), Newhaven, Gibbon Road, and Peacehaven (146).
