Coaches carry rail commuters.
Banks and other major business houses as usual, hired coaches from dozens of independant operators to carry workers into London during rail strikes, the Seddon Plaxton of Coastal Coaches, from Newhaven, had collected a parking ticket outside the Old Vic, as had Buffalo of Luton's Ford Plaxton, and Quicksilvers Daimler Roadliner Duple across the road. Next to the National Theatre the car park was full and the Cateno bodied Bedford VAL of Donsway Dunkirk, Kent, led a long line of parked coaches waiting for evening commuters.
